Amsterdam is experiencing something of a clean sweep this weekend. Lowlands and Selectors have conveniently fallen on the exact same dates, meaning a sizeable portion of the city has packed a bag and disappeared to either a field in Biddinghuizen or the Adriatic coast.
For those of us left behind, come rain or shine, although unfortunately the former appears increasingly likely, Amsterdam is carrying on regardless.
It’s Thursday, which means the weekend is already breathing down our necks and it is probably time to start making plans. If you feel like it, of course. Staying home is a perfectly respectable cultural activity too.
For everyone venturing out, we’ve gathered our highlights for the next couple of days. Anything from food to function, with plenty happening in between.
Bring an umbrella and a healthy dose of optimism.
Here’s where we’ll be.
