Three weeks have passed since ADE, and I’m still thinking about these four days that somehow packed more music and energy than seems physically possible. Between chasing sets all night and surviving the city’s notoriously wild winds, I finally feel like I can walk and think at the same time again.
My first stop was PYXLS at Melkweg, featuring Danny L Harle, YoungWoman, and Willem Feltzer. Born to give hyperpop a home in Amsterdam, PYXLS distills maximalist chaos and mischief into a dance floor where sound, identity, and community converge. Looking back, it was the perfect opening set, and it gave me the energy to ride the rest of ADE in full force.ADE was four days to remember, and I made sure its moments lasted by capturing PYXLS, friends, and strangers across the city. Scroll down for a glimpse of my ADvEnture.
