Are you an aspiring DJ, producer, promoter or any type of artist interested in the nightlife? Are you tired of rising costs, expensive venues and insider networks and never getting a shot as an artist?

HEATWAVE, launched by the Amsterdam-based queer nightlife platform IsBurning, is here for you!

The new initiative, backed by the AFK (Amsterdam Funds for the Arts Nightculture Project), offers training, guidance, and industry access.

The nightlife is run by fresh talent, but the doors are getting harder to find as spaces get more expensive and confidence is prioritised over potential. HEATWAVE finds a special space for young talent that comes out of Amsterdam, but is left unseen or doesn’t have the recognition and the tools they deserve. HEATWAVE gives every spark a place to burn.

The programme is divided into four different sections: 

IsBurning was co-founded by Carlos Valdes and Sandrien in the legendary TrouwAmsterdam club in 2014. Now, 12 years later, it is a key figure in the queer and underground scene that is built on international reputation and a community-led approach.
