A partygirl’s diaries from Lentekabinet 2026!

Here is what we got up to at this year’s Lentekabinet.

We came, we saw, we captured.

It has been over a week since Lentekabinet and we are still thinking about it.

Bright faces, familiar faces, new faces. One scenic bike ride to Noord later and we found ourselves in Het Twiske, joining the annual pilgrimage that unofficially kicks off Amsterdam’s summer. The one where you show up not entirely sure what the day holds and somehow it always delivers exactly what you needed.

There is something about Lentekabinet that feels different from every other festival. Maybe it is the first proper outdoor gathering of the season. Maybe it is the collective exhale of making it through another Dutch winter, all those grey months suddenly worth it the moment you feel sun on your face in a field surrounded by trees. Maybe it is simply thousands of people who chose to be in the same place at the same time for no reason other than the music and each other.

This year’s edition felt particularly sweet. Bites of pizza between sets, sweaty sprints from stage to stage, catching your breath on the grass before the next wave pulls you back in. Sticky, joyful, slightly delirious. Nothing short of perfect.

Here are some snapshots from the weekend.
