Bakeries

Saint-Jean (vegan)

Nestled away in Jordaan is Saint-Jean. A spot worth it`s hype? I would say so. I would recommend going with a friend, to share the pistachio cruffin, hazelnuts pain au chocolat and one of their seasonal french toasts. Tip: Do not go on the weekend, or if so go early to avoid the queues.

Margo’s (vegan)

There is a reason why Margo’s recently opened their second location in Oud- West. While their pastries are delightful, the true star of the show are their freshly made sandwiches. So don’t wait— head over and treat yourself to one.

Koofie ende Koeck (vegan)

Located next to Westerpark, you will find this gem of a cute cafe. Koofie ende Koeck is an all vegan spot, where you can sit down, journal or people watch with your cake of choice.

Restaurants

Madre (vegan)

Calling all taco tuesday lovers!! Madre is a wonderful spot in Jordaan with lovely staff. They source their ingredients locally and combine modern Mexican food with the Amsterdam flair. Truly a great find that I stumbled on by accident, only realising after it was a fully vegan spot. P.s. they also have amazing cocktails.

Chez Nina (veggie)

Chez Nina is a modern vegetarian brasserie with a stunning atmosphere and interior. They put an innovative spin on their menu, featuring Mediterranean-inspired sharing dishes, such as their Peanut Bucatini, a menu staple, which never disappoints.

De Waaghals (veggie)

Found in one of the quieter streets of de Pijp, De Waaghals is a relaxed vegetarian restaurant that offers delightful three- or four-course tasting menus for dinner.

Men Impossible (vegan)

If you’re in the mood for unique vegan Japanese cuisine, Men Impossible is the perfect spot for you. They offer a distinctive five-course menu, for 49 Euros, bursting with bold flavours, all served in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

BonBoon (vegan)

Vegan fine- dining? Yes, please. BonBoon gives you the option to choose between a three, four or five course tasting menu centred around seasonal ingredients.

Terrazen (vegan)

Terrazen is a 100% vegan restaurant mixing Caribbean and Japanese cuisine. This unique fusion, which might not be for everyone’s taste buds, but worth checking out.

Grab and go

Mr. Blou I love you (vegan)

If you are in search of a quick bite of scrumptious vegan food, go to this treat of a food stand.

Saint-Jean Deli (vegan)

Located right across from Saint-Jean, you will find their deli, offering a wide selection of savoury baked treats, coffee, and sandwiches. While there are some seating options available, it’s also perfect for grabbing a bite to enjoy on a stroll through Jordaan.

Spots, not fully vegan/ veggie but with lots of options

De Kas

Tucked away in Amsterdam’s Park Frankendael, Restaurant De Kas embodies the philosophy of ‘harvested in the morning, on your plate in the afternoon,’. Dine under the sky in a restored greenhouse, overlooking the garden where the fresh vegetables and herbs are grown.

Café Beurre

As the name suggests, this may not be the best vegan-friendly restaurant, but is vegetarian heaven. They have the loveliest staff, a small but mighty menu (ALWAYS GET THE TOAST), and the perfect atmosphere for the cosier days ahead.

Kilimanjaro

This Ethiopian place holds a special place in my heart. Kilimanjaro is a beautiful small restaurant, with a cosy ambience. Authentic Ethiopian food, with many vegan options, a must- go.

cornerstore

If you are in search for a slightly different dinner experience, cornerstore is your spot! The restaurant with a listening bar ensures for a great atmosphere and vibes. There are many veggie options to choose from, which are all delectable. P.S. LOVE the lotus root.

cafe binnenvisser

binnenvisser is your treasured neighbourhood wine bar perfect as a first date spot with veggie a la carte bites or a yummy tasting menu.

So now it is time to head out and indulge! Have and amazing time and enjoy.
