2sday Supper Club, a by-women-for-women initiative aimed at inspiring conversations and spotlighting young creatives over a family meal has begun to dip its toes beyond just hosting its monthly supper club. With a focus on youthful femininity and exploration of the childhood self, in ‘Youth Unlocked’, the female artists dive deep into the theme of re-discovering art through play. The collection spans various artistic disciplines, including painting and sculpture – each piece serving as a personal reflection on the themes of innocence, play, and the bittersweet nature of childhood memories and nostalgia.
The club’s co-founder Hannah Reznik shares the inspiration and intent behind the exhibition, “This exhibition highlights the strength of youth and the importance of reconnecting with it. Uncovering what we fear we may have forgotten, but still lives within us; exposing the fantastical details of our every day”.
The exhibition aims for the visitors to tug on their nostalgic heartstrings over chit-chat and cocktails. Tucked in Hackney Wick the exhibition is opening its doors at Unlock on the 20th of February celebrating with a night filled with music, drinks, food and live painting.
2sday Supper Club’s entry into the city’s scene underscores its commitment to uplifting women’s voices and championing London’s emerging young female artists. Whether you’re an art aficionado, a creative soul, or simply looking for a community, ‘Youth Unlocked’ promises to be an experience that invites us all to reminisce and reconnect with our inner child.
