Carhartt WIP’s fall/winter ICONS drops its collection in a celebration of the American archetypes from the original workwear they are based on. The new add is the palette that expands from “tobacco” to “dark navy” with triple stitching and metal rivettes.

The Double Knee Pant is an adaptation from an archival work pant, but this time with reinforced knee paneling and multiple tool pockets. The Single Knee Pant is similar due to the triple stitching, but the big difference is that it doesn’t have knee panels. 

The Michigan Coat has a corduroy collar, triple stitching and a buttoned front. 

The Detroit jacket takes cues from the garage jacket and fits shorter on the belt, matched with the signature of a zipped chest pocket. 

Another classic that has been introduced more than 50 years ago – the Active Jacket first in denim, and now in Dearborn Canvas. 

Lastly, the Classic Vest concludes the collection with its kangaroo pockets and zipped front from the Active Jacket. It works as a versatile standalone or a mid-layer depending on the weather. 

All of these pieces are tied together by history, passed by generations and subcultures. The original outline has not been lost and the blueprint remains.
