Let’s be honest: finding a verified vintage Prada bag or a barely-worn pair of designer heels used to require serious dedication. Trawling through listings, questioning authenticity, crossing your fingers at checkout. Zalando and Vestiaire Collective have decided that’s enough of that.
The two platforms have announced a partnership that brings Vestiaire Collective’s authenticated pre-owned luxury offer directly to Zalando’s checkout experience. For the first time, Zalando shoppers can browse pieces from over 50 iconic brands across clothing, shoes, bags and accessories, without ever leaving the platform they already know and trust.
The authentication side of things is airtight. Every item is verified by Vestiaire Collective before it goes live, and if something comes back, it gets physically re-authenticated before returning to the shop floor. Zalando’s 30-day return policy stays in place throughout, so the safety net is real. The timing also makes sense. In 2025, an average of 62% of Zalando’s pre-owned inventory sold within the first seven days of being listed. And 40% of customers were already adding a new item to their pre-owned orders, which tells you everything about how naturally the two worlds sit together.

“The demand for high-quality pre-owned fashion keeps growing,” says Alice Marshall, Director Pre-owned at Zalando. “By adding authenticated luxury and combining it with Zalando’s convenience, we want to encourage even more customers to discover second-hand shopping.”
Thomas Hezard, Chief Product Officer at Vestiaire Collective, puts it plainly: the goal is to make circular luxury more visible, more relevant, and more appealing to a broader and younger audience. Meeting shoppers exactly where they already are seems like a pretty good place to start.
The Vestiaire Collective edit is now live on Zalando across 14 European markets, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, with a dedicated landing page in the Pre-owned category.
