ADE’s 30th anniversary is closing in and Basic-Fit is not about to be left out. On October 24, Amsterdam’s Stadhouderskade gym will be transformed into a dance floor like no other, and best of all; no hangover required.
The last DJ set of the night always set the marker of a good ADE. This year, it might be the first one in the morning. Basic-Fit, one of Europe’s largest operators, is collaborating with ADE and is moving into unknown territory taking electronic music to a space never quite gone before; the gym! The result? A Feel Good Club.
At their Stadhouderskade location, the usual rows of treadmills will be giving way to the dance floor for one morning only. From 10:00 to 13:00, the club will open its doors to anyone chasing a different kind of ADE high Saturday; one built on music and movement instead of last calls. It’s free, it’s open to everyone, and it runs on pre-registration.
CARISTA is a Surinamese-Dutch DJ and producer, and will be headlining for the new Feel Good Club. Her own schedule of early flight, dawn gym sessions and late sets makes her the perfect fit. Leading the nightlife towards a community that starts with a workout. Her set anchors the morning, setting a tempo for a room that’s trading their usual 4am haze for daylight and clarity.
And that’s not all, across ADE week, all 250 Basic-Fit clubs throughout the Netherlands will be opening their doors to anyone with an ADE Pass. A dance floor experiment turned into a nationwide open door. Making ADE accessible for anyone to experience.

“Partnering with Amsterdam Dance Event gives us an exciting opportunity to bring together two worlds that are increasingly connected: music and wellbeing,” said Erica van Vonderen-Hahn, CCO of Basic-Fit. “With this event, we’re creating a space for people to experience the collective energy of music and movement, while staying true to what Basic-Fit stands for: making fitness accessible, social and part of people’s everyday lives. CARISTA is an important part of that story.”
“With more than 1,200 events taking place across Amsterdam, ADE is always about finding new and unexpected ways to experience electronic music,” added Jorinde Boom, Head of Partnerships at ADE.
“This collaboration with Basic-Fit brings entertainment and wellbeing together through music and movement in a completely different setting.”
For CARISTA, the pairing tracks with how she already lives. “Music and movement have always been connected for me,” she said. “DJing and touring are physical, and training has become an important part of how I take care of myself and stay grounded alongside everything I do as an artist. Starting an ADE Saturday on a dancefloor in a gym is definitely a new one for me — and that’s exactly what makes it fun.”
Pre-registration for Feel Good Club featuring CARISTA is open now.
