A partygirl’s diaries from Rewire 2026!

From swooning over Acopia to finding something close to a spiritual awakening thanks to Malibu, here’s what we got up to at this year’s Rewire.

Two weekends ago, I officially opened festival season with a trip to The Hague for Rewire 2026. I was especially excited for this one, as the lineup felt like a congregation of my favorite artists from the past year. Going solo only added to the experience; without a set partner, I found myself fully embracing the adventurous spirit that sits at the heart of the festival. What unfolded was a spontaneous, joyful adventure, one that wasn’t just about the music, but about the new connections I formed with people and places across The Hague.

What I discovered over the weekend far exceeded my expectations. I had a clear idea of who I wanted to see, but my favorite moments ended up being the ones I never planned for: the jazz trio Flur’s mesmerizing takeover of Lutherse Kerk, and the Laak showcase where Torus and Buttechno soundtracked one of the most fun parties I’ve been to in a while.

Before heading out, I stopped by Analogue to pick up a camera and make an attempt at documenting it all. Words and images can only go so far in capturing what was, for me, a genuinely brain-rewiring experience. But below is my attempt at immortalizing it: swooning over Acopia, bopping to Tracey, finding something close to a spiritual awakening at Malibu, and making memories that will linger long after the music faded.
