Last Thursday, December 12th, we hosted a very special community evening to celebrate the opening of the first BIRKENSTOCK store in Amsterdam. You read that right, it is the FIRST-EVER official BIRKENSTOCK store located right in the heart of Amsterdam, and we couldn’t be more honored to give our community an exclusive sneak peek before the store opened its doors to the public on Friday.
It was a true celebration, as nature intended. The store was draped in festive floral installations by Rae Blooms and attendees sipped on bubbles as they chatted and browsed away. As no celebration is ever complete without cake, Oficina made sure to fill the space with a vast array of delightful sweet treats. Amsterdam-based multidisciplinary design studio deparel designed special knit garments for the occasion, gifted to the attendees along with other BIRKENSTOCK goodies.
An Aa Magazine community evening could not be complete without a touch of our playful spirit, so to celebrate BIRKENSTOCK’s ethos of ‘Walking as nature intended’ we set up a special interactive activity: a map of Amsterdam where our guests were invited to pin away their favorite spots, walking routes, and itineraries.
